Honestly, I couldn't believe that Mike Geary didn't have this as part of his Truth About Abs program. So what was I to do? Like they say, necessity is the mother of all invention, so I had to create these two items myself.

And like I said previously, The Truth About Abs covers all the material in very good detail. But when I started to implement the program, I was running into stumbling blocks that were stopping me from getting the results that I wanted. So I created 2 tools to help increase the effectiveness of my workouts.

I'd like to share the 2 tools I created, so that you are aware of what can be done to help your workouts.

What was the first solution?

Like I said before, there is a TON of information in The Truth About Abs, and so much to absorb. There was no possible way that I could memorize the workout routines that Mike Geary put out in full detail. There were so many different exercises that I have never heard of, and didn't know how to perform correctly.

So I had to bring The Truth About Abs to the gym. Do you know how inconvenient that was? I had to flip through pages & pages trying to find the right exercise and how to do it. It was both embarrassing and inefficient.

To solve this, I personally recorded the workout routines on MP3 files, detailing each exercise in the same order as in The Truth About Abs. I walk through each exercise, and give you step-by-step instructions on how to properly perform each exercise.

To help myself out when I was at the gym, I recorded:

1. How to correctly hold the weight & proper body positioning - This way, I didn't have to think about it anymore...I just followed my instructions and to do the exercises correctly.

2. What muscle I should feel "working" - I know exactly where I should feel my muscles 'squeeze' and 'flex' to get maximum results.

Then I downloaded these files to my iPod (or any other MP3 player) which I followed along at the gym. No lugging around any books, flipping pages trying to find out how to do each exercise while somebody is waiting for my bench.

In The Truth About Abs, Mike Geary lays out workout routines in great detail. His workouts are very creative, and truly involve your entire body to get you strong, toned abs.

I painstakingly created workout tracking sheets that I could just print them out, put them into a binder, and bring with me to the gym to track my results. Each sheet represents one workout. I took the exact workout routine from The Truth About Abs and put it into a format where I could track my performance for each workout.

Each exercise is already filled in, so I didn't have to remember which exercise to do. And the Truth About Abs workout tracking sheets are synchronized with the Truth About Abs MP3 files above to keep my workout fluid and efficient. All I have to do is fill in your results.

The funny thing is, I didn't even believe it myself, but I got stronger each workout when I started tracking my results. I lifted more weight and performed more reps simply because I knew what I did the last workout, and wanted to outdo it. Coincidence? I think not.

Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle" Book Review

Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle" is an incredible book that is well known for its condemnation of the unsanitary conditions of meat packing plants, but many people today don't know that this book had a much wider, immense scope, and ambition. He also dealt with issues of racism, immigration, poverty, capitalism run rampant, and social injustice.

It's not out of line to say that Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle" is arguably one of the best American books of the 20th century. This book is written like fiction while displaying the actual real conditions of America for immigrant Jurgis Rudkus, who comes looking for the American Dream in the early 20th century and finds nothing but pain, heartache, and terrible conditions for everyone in oppressive poverty.

Upton Sinclair shows that even as the immigrants struggle to survive, that they come to realize that it's a hopeless battle. They work in the packinghouses which take advantage of their slave-like labor while bringing poverty, disease, death, injury, injustice, rape, jail and hopelessness. With no other options and a thousand men clamoring at the gate for their job, they are held in their position with no chance at improvement or escape.

Upton Sinclair uses the story of Jurgis to show the first hand experiences of a system where capitalism runs amuck without any checks or balances. In the drive for even a half-penny extra of profit, spoiled meat is bribed past inspectors, men are crushed and killed, waste is driven wholesale into public drinking water and people are made sick by the tens of thousands so a few very rich guys at the top can get a little richer.

This is an amazing book, though its main weaknesses are the same that are brought up with the majority of Upton Sinclair novels. One is that the opening is slow. It takes a long time in the early chapters to introduce all the characters, and the other is that the ending reads like propaganda. Upton Sinclair believed that all literature was propaganda, so this isn't surprising.

These are minor weaknesses to an overall amazing book that was one of the most influential in American history. Many believe that only Harriet Beecher Stowe's "Uncle Tom's Cabin" had more of an influence on the United States than Upton Sinclair.

"The Jungle" is the perfect example of a lost art: an amazing fictional story illustrating a point far more greatly than non-fiction could hope to. Most fiction nowadays trying to do the same comes across as preachy, and doesn't spend enough time on the story. Upton Sinclair's novel is amazing, and should continue to be read today as a reminder of what literature can do to help society, and to not forget about how bad things used to be.

It would be nice to believe that there is some magic 'cure' to all our debt problems. Kevin Trudeau would like you to believe that in his latest book Debt Cures They Don't Want You to Know About. In the first article in this series, I described what happened when I ordered Debt Cures online and my initial review of the first few chapters. In this article, I will continue my review of Mr. Trudeau's latest book.

Picking up where we left off - chapter seven - a chapter that should have just been left out of the book entirely. It covers the basics of credit scoring and credit reporting. Chapter eight is similar, it tells you what goes into your credit report. You can go to the Fool, Bankrate or Yahoo Finance website or a host of many other sites and get this same information.

Debt Cures rehashes much of the same information already found in most debt, credit and finance books. Despite Kevin Trudeau's claim that it is groundbreaking and never before been released secrets, you can find the same info by doing your own research online. So it all depends on how much you value your time. You can spend time searching for this same info or you can find it all in one resource such as Debt Cures. Having said that, he does adds some tips and tricks and if you use just one of those tips then the book will have paid for itself in spades.

And when it comes to credit card debt and curing our debt problems, when the amounts of money involved can be quite substantial, using one of these tips can potentially save you thousands of dollars. The only question is are you willing to put in the work to get it done and make it happen? Are you going to make the calls to your credit card companies and ask them to lower your interest rate? Are you going to order your credit reports and credit scores and dispute the inaccuracies?

So no matter which financial book you read, if you do nothing and do not take action, you cannot call any book a scam. Even if it comes from Kevin Trudeau.

Moving on to chapter nine and ten. These chapters continue on with getting copies of your credit reports and credit scores and getting rid of errors. Once you fix the errors in your credit report, your credit score will go up and you will save money on any loan you take out - home, auto, refinance, etc.

He also recommends monitoring your credit report. This will protect you from identity thieves and make sure no new surprises appear on your credit report the next time you check it.

Chapter 11 offers tips for improving your credit score overnight. One of his tips include boosting your credit score by using less of your available credit on each credit card. He recommends you only use 35% of your available credit on each card you have. Using more than this will lower your score.

One tip from chapter 11 offers a strategy to eliminate negative items on your credit report. This tip has about a 50% chance of succeeding when dealing with debt collectors and erasing negative items off your credit report. If this one tip works then you'll have easily paid for the cost of Debt Cures several times over.

Chapter 12 is only six pages long but it contains the 2 magic words that several people have asked about. I have a feeling that you may be disappointed about what the 2 words are. But then again, if you know someone who has been affected by this then you'll understand why Kevin hyped these two words up so much. There are few things that can ruin a credit report and credit score faster and wreck havoc on your life than these 2 words.

Kevin recommends checking your credit report and monitoring your credit to protect yourself from I_ _ _ _ _ _ _ T_ _ _ _. It is the fastest growing crime in America and affected 9.9 million Americans last year and cost them roughly billion.

Chapter 13 covers cutting your mortgage loan payments down. Money saved is the same as money earned. Kevin offers tips on getting rid of your PMI, making biweekly payments and refinancing your variable rate mortgage for a fixed rate now that interest rates have gone up.

Rising interest rates is a recent topic so Kevin Trudeau including it in this book is a timely addition. He offers a few tips on dealing with lenders who do not want to be flexible with you.

If you need to refinance your variable loan to a fixed loan, do it and save money each month on your payments.
